The Media Dispatch is committed to accurate, fair, and independent journalism. This document outlines the standards and practices that guide our editorial work.
Our editorial decisions are made solely by our editorial team. Advertisers, sponsors, and investors have no influence over what we publish, how we frame stories, or which topics we cover. This separation is non-negotiable and has been the foundation of our publication since 2011.
We verify information from at least two independent sources before publication wherever possible. When we rely on a single source, we say so. We do not publish rumour or speculation as fact. If we are unable to verify a claim, we do not publish it.
When we make a factual error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted at the top of the affected article with the date of correction. We do not silently edit articles after publication. To report an error, contact [email protected].
We protect the identity of confidential sources. We grant anonymity only when a source has a genuine reason to fear retaliation and when the information they provide is material to the public interest. We do not use anonymous sources for opinion or commentary.
Reporters and editors are required to disclose any personal, financial, or professional relationships that could create a conflict of interest with a story they are covering. Where a conflict cannot be managed, the reporter is reassigned.
Opinion pieces and analysis are clearly labelled as such. They represent the views of the named author, not the editorial position of The Media Dispatch as a whole. We welcome a range of perspectives, including those that challenge our own reporting.
